For the weekend me, Ian and lucy had a cheeky weekend together (yes, yes! it might sound weird we did laugh many times about the three of us having a romantic weekend away). This was the day our babes lucy signed up to buying a house!! We loaded up the truck and our first stop… meeting Emma and Ryan for a cycle around the much loved Delemere forest , with its golden autumn glow.
After cycling through piles of leaves and mud pits having a good old catch up talking about grown up things like mortgages, houses and obvs emmas future baby Brewers. We headed back to the cafe as it was starting to go dark, we treated ourselves to a hot chocolate and cake, then we got on the road to Anglesey.
What a cutie!
We got to anglesey and stayed at lucy’s cottage which is on a farm and has a PONY in the backgarden. This was defo a highlight for me, it was so cute and kept trying barge into the kitchen, i’d of love to take some random pictures of the pony around the cottage. That night we went for a romantic meal at a place in Red Warf Bay, which is a gorgeous little place then back to the cottage for celebrations and a DVD.
So on sunday morning we had two walks planned; one was the Menai Straits which is along the estuary between Anglesey and Wales, connected with two big bridges either side, with this really old grave yard and this cute chapel resident on it’s own island (i’ve planned Lucys wedding here). We walked into town from here and had a gorgeous dinner.
T he next place we went to was a little drive a way. This was about a 45 minute walk from were we parked to Aber Falls which was quite amazing really. The water plunges from 120 feets creating this boss waterfall, theres a small rock pool which you can swim in (obvs in summer) but it can still be pretty cold. to the right of this waterfall is another small waterfall which you can also walk too.
