For the weekend the LLS (and for the first time ever) the boys came along. We went to Ambleside in the lake district (or otherwise known as the lake and many tarns) we planned on camping but as the good old English weather was forecast rain all weekend so we booked in to a backpackers hostel instead. .
Bunk bed time!!
Planning our route. There was a bit of controversial views between good old paper maps and technology (mainly between lucy and Ian)
We had good helpings of toast, cereal and fruit tea. Dressed in our gorgeous walking gear then started our walk. Our walk was in the Langdales, were we started at the new dungeon ghyll hotel and went up to sticky tarn, up to the high raise and over to harrison stickle ( yes.. alot of weird hill walking names thanks to lucy for this information).
Paper maps do prove difficult when the winds so strong it actually blows you over!
Ryan thought he’d take the dog way through the stall.
After a pub tea, shower and relax. We went out geocaching . Kate had just only discovered this and got very excited. if anyone has never heard of geocahing before follow the link for more info! its such a boss little thing to do especially while already out walking
The next day we went to this cute little village called Coniston. We hired rowing boats, ate ice creams, played in the lake, and went to this cute little Vintage faire and the weather was SUNNY… this is my heaven!
I am in LOVE with my hat i picked up from this little vintage fair
